'67 Stepside Bed Help
Hello all,
I've got a bit of a quandry about my '67 stepside short bed. I've gotten the truck just about ready to get back on the road, and I would like to figure out a cheap easy way to use this bed I have, by either using some marine grade plywood as a floor, or some sheet metal. I really want to find a steel floored fleetside bed for it, but until then I just need to haul some stuff. I also don't want to mess up the bed I have in case someone else may need it and can use it as-is. I've gone around in circles about this for a couple weeks, and I just need to make a decision. We ran treated plywood for the bedfloor of our 67 Stepside for 10 years with no problems.

Andy,
didn't you have a post of a super cheap way to have a wood bed until you could afford a more comparably nice wood bed set?

I really oughta go and buy that 3rd piece of wood and finish it huh. Update, neighbors got sick of seeing the ply wood leaning on there fence, so it is now in my storage unit.

I ran a piece of plywood in the bed of my '72 short step for 4 or 5 years until i wrecked the truck... I had the original cross braces... IT worked great for what I was doing...
