Loaner Blues
So, since I sold the '93, and I need transport until I get a truck bought, My buddy loaned me his '71 Jimmy. It had a bunch of little nagging things wrong with it when I got it from him, so I tinkered a while every night for the first week. Well, its a 150 mile drive home from work on Friday's. About 35 miles into this past Friday, the driver's side front hub decided to grenade, so I'm driving on only the inner half. Then on the way into work yesterday morning, the 307 started missing pretty badly. I got it back to my weekday apartment last night and messed around with plugs and wires and what-not to make sure I was getting fire to all 8 cylinders. After making sure I had the plug wires snapped on tight, I went to take it for a spin to see if there was any improvement, the TH350 wouldn't shift. Stuff is breaking on this truck faster than I can fix it!
