Cleaned up my engine
Here are a few before and after pictures of the 350 in my truck. I pulled the engine to drop the pan and replace the gasket and rear seal and cleaned it up a bit while it was out. What do you think look a little better? Its not red it is true chevy orange but my camara made it look red.

Re: Cleaned up my engine
Now that looks like a little more than just a "cleanup". I see headers, intake, carb, air cleaner, A/C disapeared, long water pump, alt on right side, chrome timing cover, valve covers, etc. I think I would have painted the wheel tubs while the engine was out, but that is a nice cleanup and big improvement.
If you don't need the old q-jet carb, I might have a home for it !

Re: Cleaned up my engine
That was when I first bought it last may and the others were taken this morning. I added the headers and carb during that time but added all the other stuff when I pulled it.

Re: Cleaned up my engine
Awesome! When I pulled the engine in my truck out(for the same reason) I painted the whole thing Chevy orange. It looks stock now, Qjet, factory air breather and spacer/hose assembly, and a 350 decal on the valve cover. That engine does look better though!

Re: Cleaned up my engine
Looking great! I'm hoping to have similar before and after pics soon. Cracked my block, so I got new crate engine. Painted it Chevy Orange today and I'm painting manifolds, pulleys, etc this week. And cleaning up all the oil that had spilled on frame, etc. Hope to have her back in and running in a few weeks. Need UPS guy to show up now with parts and some more paint.
