Any one know what the stock torque converter stall speed is on a stock turbo 400 behind a 402BB in a 72 PU?

I don't know for sure but would guess somewhere around 1600 rpm. Someone on here will know exact # I'm sure.

I believe it falls in the 1600-1700 range.

If that truck is together and running you can find out for yourself. Connect a tachometer so that it is visable from the drivers seat, set the parking brake, block the wheels (all four wouldn't hurt), start the engine, warm it up, hold your foot on the brakes, drop it in drive, slowly give it the gas until the rpms no longer increase, that's your stall speed. Do this briefly, as it does put stress on the transmission.
