gauge cluster lights
hey guys, i just bought a great shape 71 c10 fleetside. all electric components work fine, except for the gauge lights. i replaced all the bulbs. the high beam indicator works fine, as well as turn signal indicators. circuits are fine on back of instrument cluster. any ideas? if someone had a schematic for the head light switch/ cluster, that would be great. thanks in advance!

Re: gauge cluster lights
Wazoo: check to make sure that your parking lights are working, too. The parking lights and dash lights work off the same fuse, and the same part of the headlight switch. If your parking lights are okay, then it's probably the variable resistor build into the headlight switch .. aka the dimmer. Ignoring the blatantly obvious (making sure the headlight switch is turned counter-clockwise almost all the way,) you may have to replace that switch.
MadDog: the light probably just burned out. There are little twistable bases that fit into the back of the cluster that you can turn and pull out. Find the right one, pull it out, and check the bulb.
