Ok so I am wanting to do a roll in bedliner for my truck. My truck is primer now and will be for a while and I plan to paint it later. Should I do the bed liner before or after i paint it? I was wondering about masking it of what line will be there. I dont hall alot with it but I want to clean it up. What are some of the better brands to look for? Also could you guys post some pictures of yours? Thanks

don't do it. roll-in sucks. there is no reputable roll-in product on the market. go with Line-X, this is the absolute one place that you DO NOT want to skimp on your truck - roll-in liners cannot be taken out later in any easy way.

Line-x will cost you a couple hundred. it doesn't crack, peel, fade, "pore" or anything.

Roll-on does nothing for appearance but make your bed look poopy.I have used spray-on and it looks great.I put it on my ladder racks.It`s holding up very well,but will wear off from dragging heavy stuff across the edges.More durable than any paint.Not as tough as Line-X,which is the only company I`d go with if not doing it myself.I`ve used that and I love it.All this stuff will gouge with the right edge/weight/movement in one spot.It`s not invinsible,nothing is.

Agreed. Roll-in in my old bed was JUNK. Faded, peeling, thin junk. I would almost rather suggest a good undercoating as a cheap substitute.

ives used it 4 times and all have with stood a lot of abuse. The key to them is prep work. You have to clean clean and clean some more. I have had nothing but good luck the times ive used it. Not one is peeling, cracking poored or anything yet.

same outcome as doug. i did the WALMART roll-in liner in my 96 Z71 and it worked fine. had lots of abuse to. (dirt bikes,etc.) the key is PREP as doug said. i sanded mine with 220, then wiped it down with paint prep cleaner/degreaser, then coated if front to back 2x. i just did the bottom of my new bed on sunday and i think it will be fine for a long time. just prep the primer and paint it.
if you can afford the LINE-X or RHINO its prob. a better deal but cost more $$$. if you worried about a line just tape it off wherever you want it to stop then paint up to that line.
