hp ? on a stock 350
i have a stock 350 /400trans in a 69 longbed iwas woundering if any body knows what the hp was on this engine thanks

255 gross, and I think 200 net. Those engines were 9.0 to 1 compression if I remember correctly and the cam wasnt engineered with emission's in mind.

my factory spec book lists:
350 turbofire 4bbl (8.5:1 comp) gross 175hp @ 4000 rpm, 280 lb-ft @ 2400 rpm 350 High Torque 4bbl (8.5:1 comp) gross 175hp @ 4000 rpm, 290 lb-ft @ 2400.

'69 - '71 were all rated at 255 gross hp. AFAIK, all were 8.5:1 compression. I am talking about 4bbl 350 cid light truck engines.

maybe it had something to do with the new emissions laws at the time? new emissions equip dropped/changed hp ratings, perhaps...?
