Graphics maybe a checkered flag on 1968? Anyone?

I am thinking of a graphic maybe even ghosted on my 68. I think I will go back white and will keep all the chrome. Anybody done any graphics and kept the trim? How about a waving checkered flag down the side to the rear? am just thinking and may change my color option. It is originally white and still is now.

Any pics would be great.

cUSTOM 68,
I would keep the flag above or below the chrome not thru it. When I had my ghost flames painted, I thought about a ghosted checkered flag across the silver area along the bottom of my truck but the board members talked me out of it.

It might be fun to try that with a graphic if they made one like that.

I read this thread after 74baggedbug posted and then went looking for your white truck, of course only found yellow. After ps'ing it I realized how old the original thread was... timeless machines, our trucks and us!

You could take that design in to a wrap place and they could easily print it out and stick it on the truck. Doing this kind of stuff has come a long way since this post was started

And the great thing about it is if you think it looks cheesy a few years later... peel it off and you're back to a stock looking truck

I've been looking for a picture of a truck with that style of graphic on the upper body line. Good idea of going to to graphic shop.. I may do that and see if I'd like the way it looks before we paint the truck

Re: Graphics maybe a checkered flag on 1968? Anyone?

There is a place here in town that does graphics I may poke around there and see. I think that it might be fun to try. It is a little tricky with the chrome trim but I liked it so it went back on (well it was new). I will see what happens but keep up the ideas it is fun. I can post another pic of it in its current (yellow) state. It is a bit lower and different wheels.

Re: Graphics maybe a checkered flag on 1968? Anyone?

sure sure... it's kind of random when/if I get the time to play with these things, but it's usually when I'm taking a break from working on the truck(just over my shoulder she sits) because I have a computer here in the garage. I'm getting close to finishing up the truck so I'm here a lot more lately. Feel free to send ideas, just can't promise anything.
