I do believe you would have to change the hole front end.Hood, fenders, rad support are 67, 68, only and 69-72.

Note: you can get any '68-'72 GMC fenders, they were the same in GMC's

oh, paul brings up a good point...
each and every one of us has suumubed you are talking about Chevy, and not GMC. If it's a GMC, and you want to run a 67 or 68 grill (nopt the same grill) on a 72, all you need is the grill, and a welder to fill in some trim holes. |

Here's the skinny
If you have a GMC: If you want to put a 68 GMC grille on it do what Andy says in post 6 If you want to put a 68 Chevy grille on it you need to change out the hood, radiator support, and grille. If you have a Chevy: If you want to put a 68 Chevy grille on it follow what the other posts say, basically replace the whole front clip. Same deal if you want to put a 68 GMC grille on it
