1970 c10
Well hello all !! this my first post so be kind
I did not know where to post so i`ll try here if it is not in the right plave please move it !!! I have 1970 1/2 ton shot fleet sid fair body ,i`ll post pic later anyway i also have a1996 1/2 ton short bed and was woundering if i could take the body of the 70 and put in the 96? oh i forgot to say that the 96 was fliped several times by my 15yr old ,(broke 3verbs lower back,and well alot internal injures , but he is out of the hospital and ready to start on the project !!!! So if anybody have any advice it woud be appreciated !! Thanks |

welcome i dont see how it would fit would take alot of modifing to make it fit the 96 frame

Welcome from southern Mississippi. The wheel bases of the 70 and 96 are different. I am sure it could be done, but you would be doing alot of mods. Body mounts, bumper brackets, adapting the dash/electronics to the old cab. I've thought of it myself alot too, but I need to finish my current project first. Good luck if you try it and make sure you let us know how you do it.
