PS bracket washer? Where to install??
Wasn't paying much attention when tore the PS off my small block. Now I'm trying to line everything up again before dropping engine in the truck.
Should the washer be between the pump and bracket, like this: Or should washer be on outside with the lock washer, like this: Also, part of the bracket connects to the motor mount. I have in this order, from engine out:
Thanks, D.

Re: PS bracket washer? Where to install??
It appears that the original stud has been replaced on your pump. There should be a stud in the adjustment location and it is made with a fairly large nut in the middle that retains the reservoir to the pump body. One end of the stud screws into the pump body and the other fits through the adjustment slot so that belt adjustments can be made without interfering with the reservoir to pump seal at that location.
The order that you have the bracket mounted to the motor mount looks good. Jim |
