ECE 2.5 drop front spindles w/pics

I went with Early classic for the front drop spindles. I just got the left side done. Now, of course the snowball started. I couldn't handle putting the old rust rotors on, so I decided I needed vented front rotors and then I decided to get new calipers too. Napa will have them in today, so I did it. Vented rotors ran $150 for the pair and the rebuilt calipers were only $36 for the pair.
I don't know if I will ever finish if I keep upgrading everything I work on.
I included a before pic just for fun.

Next unnescessary upgrade - steel braided lines?

Looks sweet! Thanks for the pics! How do you like the cordless impact? Is that the new 28V Milwauki?

THanks,

Bill

Actually I got it from Matco (not sure who makes it fo them) It is only 14.4, but it is quite a bit smaller and easier to get in places than the larger ones. Its first test was to take a lug nut of an F550 bucket truck at work. It struggled, but it took it off after about 10 seconds of hammering. At that point, I was sold.

Re: ECE 2.5 drop front spindles w/pics

I almost bought a rebuilt steering column the day just because it looked nicer than mine!
I need to start cutting corners or I will run out of funding. But it never seems like a good idea to cut corners. AHHHH! I am trying. I had a box full of brake booster brackets I was taking to the powdercoaters, but I decided to just sand and paint them. I guess that is step 1 for me.

I was lucky enough to have a rust free and clean frame. I just used rust converter and rustoleum.
