Wiring help?
I really am having lots of quetions as I am diving into this thing. In advance I will thank everyone for their help, it is appreciated!
So I need an answer here. I just took this pic then I found a pic showing where they go accept for that pink and yellow...I am assuming they go to the HEI IGN. cap??? Any help would be great. I don't think I have anything for that that blue wire (oil pressure) to plug into, I have a mechanical oil gauge. My wiring harness is from M & H and supposed to be like the original but adapted to HEI setup. I really don't know where all the cadium bracket bolt down to. And it seems the silonode wire cirlce ends are too small??? Last edited by ChevyDude; 06-03-2006 at 01:58 PM. |

Re: Wiring help?
You shouldn't need the yellow wire from the solenoid to the dizzy w/HEI. The pink wire should be all you need (may want to measure the resistance to make sure it's not a points style resistance wire). My truck has a mechanical oil pressure gage, but the engine (original) has the oil pressure sending unit on the pass side rear of the head.

Re: Wiring help?
Thank YOU!!! I'm going to get all the mechanical stuff together and if I can't get all the wiring I'll get one of my mechanic friends from John Elway Chevrolet to come do the final wiring. That yellow and pink wire that has a white clip on it fits perfectly on the HEI cap??? I'm not going to worry too much. On the the tie rods, sway bar, next!
