Poly body mount bushing install???
I am having some trouble here... The upper bushing and washer is the culprit. How do they come apart? Is it just something that I need a vise and a large pry bar and giver her hell or what?
I'm about to just up and order the stuff new

Re: Poly body mount bushing install???
Thinking on the matter some more today while I should have been working...
Would it REALLY kill anything if someone was to use the stock lower washer, but in place of the huge upper cup/washer just run a flat washer? I don't see how it would hurt when I'm just picturing it in my head, and it'd sure be alot cleaner/easier to deal with.... Need some feedback on this idea, I'll be washer hunting tommorrow if you guys think it'll work. Also, found a place that will media blast my WHOLE cab inside and out for 100$. Keep your eyes peeled in the next couple weeks for some pictures of a truck in almost 1 piece

Re: Poly body mount bushing install???
don't have an answer to your question, but some good advice,,don't throw any of the old parts away until new ones arrive like i did and had to go dumpster diving..ended up needing the 2 rear metal sleeves that go thru bushing, the ones i got were from summit and those pieces were not included..
also now that i'm thinking about it,,the washer's and sleeves are just embeded in the rubber,,,pry and cuss... |
