BEautiful truck.. all around except for that bed. I don't liek mismatching beds like that. The 98 looks too new. And was that a FUEL INJECTION on that V8? Though not stock equip, looks pretty awesome!

That's definately better than the mis-matched arches, but I think it looks better when the rear arch is changed to 67-72 style (in photoshop anyway). I know those late rear fenders are fiberglass. That's probably why I haven't seen it done yet.

Now that looks good! I'd like it better with the arches in both, but this is a huge improvement

He needs to lose those ricer tail lamps and it'd be perfect

The "out there" hanging down fog lamps could be nixed as well. Wonder why they weren't installed in the roll pan??? Overall.... I really like it. Different and well done.

*I'm not 100% on this, but I was told not all 88-98 step beds were fiberglass, so the 67-72 wheel arch in the bed couldn't be totally ruled out.

But you know adding round wheel arches to the late bed shouldn't be all that hard. Bend a little wire, add chicken wire and some glass and use a template.

I have seen pictures of this truck before, don't really care for the look of it. I think it would have looked better, if they just left the front alone. As far as the newer stepside beds go...I don't think they look all that bad, as long as the paint and trim are matched correctly. However, I do agree, that they would look 100% better with the original round wheel arches. Like some have said, it would prolly take a lot of work and money to do this...prolly as much or more than restoring or replacing an original bed. We need to get Chip Foose or one of those guys to do one up for us!

I see couple with beds like that here in my area, boths 71-72 one is a Mexi truck the other belong to a Hick and even if they dont look all that bad I dont like ither one

I think the person did a pretty nice job of it. Grafting in the later style fenderwheels up front would be eaiser and neater to me since it is metal and not glass. There are things I would do different, but I give the person a thumbs up for effort and overall look. It came across very nice and a lot better than many I have seen.

I ain't knockin the owner, its his truck to do with as he wants. But how can anyone look at that and not see Ford Ranger?? Remember the older Rangers with the square wheel openings? .

When I first looked at it, it reminded me of the older Dodge's (like the little red wagons). The way I look at it, its still a '68 truck & if you are using something that wasnt origionally on it, you need to make the odd part match what you started with...

I don`t see where modifying the fiberglass would be harder than the metal-work those fenders took.I hope he didn`t ruin original`67 fenders to do it.
