Fuel sending unit ?

Hello everyone, I am new to the board but I have been spending a lot of time reading posts. Already found some helpful info more than once, this is a great website and I'm glad I found it. Last week I bought a 72 C10 and I've wanted one for longer than I care to admit. Anyway I love the truck but it does have some electrical problems, fuel, battery and temperature gages do not work.
I was hoping someone could help me out with a picture of the wire attached to the sending unit...I'm just about certain that I do not have one on it. I know there is nothing going to the fuse block and where the lines go into the fuel tank there is a post there that looks like it shoild have a wire attached and there is nothing there..also a picture of a proper setup of the wired up fuse block would be helpful. I have already downloaded a wire diagram.
Thanks in advance!
Dan
