Exclamation Need a part number or two...

I know the forum rules are to read first ask after you can't find...but i am out in the middle of no where and my internet connection thru the satelite went south tuesday morning so what we currently have is like 24k thru a phone line. Waiting on my tools to hit the table here shortly so i can go home to civilization for awhile while they move this oil rig to a new pad. So since i am doing the front brakes on the chalet with ebc pads and cross drilled rotors i'd like to bust out my tsm rear disc brackets i've had stashed for the last 3 or 4 years and just get it done. I need part numbers for a disc/disc master and prop valve. 76 K5 with 87 master and booster currently. I'll be going to a local book store when i get home to log on to see if anybody has the numbers from gm...azone...who ever...where ever so i can order them and get them here on the next day pony. If you want call me at 970-250-3800 and leave me a message if you want...just need to get the darn thing fixed before the next job as driving my wifes old 89 honda civic si in the oil field just doesn't cut it....i'll be lucky to pile all my gear in it all at once to get home! Thamnx guys!

Re: Need a part number or two...

I was hoping to find something i could aquire through a local parts house so i don't have pay a premium for someones super secret application. I have heard a 81 vette master will work but i ran out of time once again. All i managed to do was convert the front calipers to a JB7 option with cross drilled rotors and EBC pads. Seems to stop alot better! But that was a quick test run. Headin back to work here in a bit....will get back to the hunt once i have some free time tomorrow....

Thanx for all the help and a special thanx to cpt caos for the phone call. I really appreciate you going out of your way to make a call...things like that is why i spend more time here than CK5 anymore...

Re: Need a part number or two...

Crossy...that should work fine. I'm not sure what year gm increased the master cylinder bore from 7/8's to 1 1/1/8th....

A friend mentioned he thought a 81 vette master would work. And he told me that the current master could be used if the rear brake port ball and spring was removed...esentially a residual valve for the drum brakes. He said to get rid of the prop valve all together and tee the front lines together and make a bracket to mount a wilwood valve on the master for the rear lines.

Re: Need a part number or two...

Ahh...the factory bibles. I have those too...there are just currently in storage. The latest one i have is 90...for the R/V series. I was assuming you had some gm numbers you used to do rear disc like master cylinder....
