Throttle/Accelerator Cable bracket - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

Hey all,

I am building a 68 shortbed. I have a 72 cab that had the Cable type throttle linkage. However, the engine had been removed when I got it.

I need a bracket for my throttle cable and TV cable (700R4 Tranny)

I read somewhere that the cable only mounts to the firewall, with not bracket at the carb. Is this true.

Pls post pics of your setup at the carb custom or stock.

Mine looks the same as his. If you doing a TV cable you may want to try Lokar or bowtieoverdrives, they both sell a setup.

Here is the TCI bracket for Edelbrock carbs I got from Jeg's.

Looks like it will work fine.
