Spark Plug # and gap
I have a 68 327 that I've converted to HEI. The engine is stock but I have the bolt ons Edelbrock performer Intake, 600cfm carb, and headers. She runs great but when I pulled the plugs after I drove her home last week she still had a stock plug with .35 gap. What plugs should be ran and what are the part numbers. Just want her to run nice not trying to be the speed demon. The posi 12 bolt helps me on that.......

Re: Spark Plug # and gap
I used to run Champions for maybe 25 years, but since they went to Mexico their quality has gone south too. The Truck Plugs were a heavy duty plug that had a 3 year warranty - regardless of mileage. I put my last set of US-made Champs on the 350 in May, today a mechanic had to replace my #8 plug (from that batch) with an AC R46TS to pass emissions.
Had to go to ACs on my fresh L6 292 also last year, the Champs wouldn't cut it.

So what gap does the general population here go with. Everyone answered between .035 - .050

Re: Spark Plug # and gap
Most sources I've seen say 0.045 for HEI
