Re: My truck
Welcome to the board! Those south of the border trucks are cool....no side markers, and the odd taillights and tailgate. Nice truck!

Re: My truck
Welcome, and cool truck. Do you have much trouble keeping the boy out of the truck? My 16month will spend all day driving it in the garage changing every button and knob he can reach...
Also, I have never seen that style door badge with the word Deluxe on it here in the US. We only have Custom or CST on that style emblem (which for us was only on 67 or 68). The back of the bed and tailgate are also different then the US style. Way Too Cool!! Thanks for posting those pictures!! Last edited by John Fabris; 07-19-2006 at 11:44 AM. |

Re: My truck
Is it my eyes, or is the upper body line straight back at the end of the bed, instead of curving down?

Re: My truck
Welcome from Southern California. VERY cool truck, it is really neat to see some of the different models chevy manufactured for other countries. Lower chrome and all. What other options does it have?

Re: My truck
Welcome to the board From central Ohio.
While I too find the truck very interesting, I have to ask, is that a step side bed with fiberglass side on top? The tail gate is a step side part, and GM had done this in the past too. I'm just very curiouse about it all around. I notice the 67 - 70 mirror arms, The lack of side markers, old style rims, and the afore mentioned badging, and bed that is odd to us. Pics of your truck will be hot topics on here. What kind of options does it have? How about engine? |

Re: My truck
Hello,
Thanks to all for the comments, about the truck appeal it's all original, as GM made it, the only new thing is that I putted the gearbox, originally it was of 3 and now it's of 5.for the drive confort. The engine is 6 cilinders in line. Talking about the truck, here is very common to see it in the farms together with Ford F100 and the Doge pick ups, right now all the trucks are the new ones but you can still see the old trucks. Sorry for my few comments, but it's hard to write in english the technical details. The truck, I bought this year for US dollars 4800, for argentinean people it's ok, not too expensive, not to cheap, I made for new complete the engine, also the gearbox and the next step is going to be the painting restorig all the truck, the only inconvenience I have is that is hard to get the new parts like side grills, front head lights, front bumper, etc. I'm sorry if don't answer all the questions, but there are someone that I don't understand some things. Well I'm going to attach some pictures of anothers trck in Argentina. Greetings and thanks to all your comments. |

Re: My truck
Welcome from California, the truck is great! The country side in the background is beautiful. Good looking young fellow behind the wheel. I would like to see more GM pictures you might have of the trucks in your area.
Also, you are doing fine with your english... it is probably better than mine... and I have been speaking it my whole life

Re: My truck
Welcome to the board from Sweden.
I saw there was at least one more member from Argentina on the board, but with a 74 truck, see the link:http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=201696 I would love to see a glove box door option sticker from an Argentina truck to see if there are any rare options.
