72 SWB Sheetmetal
Hi guys, I'm new here (here's my intro: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=206571)
Anyway, first question. My new project needs almost all the sheetmetal replaced. Are the doors and fenders interchangeable from 69-72 (blazers and subs too) or do I need 71-72 doors and fenders? Thanks! Last edited by ugotd8; 07-26-2006 at 04:34 AM. |

Re: 72 SWB Sheetmetal
The doors on Blazers have no window frame. The doors on a Suburban have sqaure glass and frame. The doors themselves are identicle and can be converted. But,it`s more practicle to use those doors to swap with someone who needs those rarer configurations. All doors are the same,except`72.Actually,the door itself is the same except for a dimple & screw just under the front window channel. What`s different is the door handle and wihdow crank shafts are longer for the`72-only molded interior panels.Parts are interchangeable, though.
The entire front clips are all interchangeable,as well as the lights and tailgate(except Suburban/Panels).
