blazer tanks change overs
these things don't fit short fleet side trucks! unless you want to hack up your bed crossmember or add blocks to the tabs so it hangs down, and is visable from the rear.what a crok, wasted money if i would of known this i would of bought a fabricated alum. tank from no limit engineering.

I just got one and am a little upset too. I knew you had to get rid of one of the small little cross sill, but I didnt know you had to cut a big notch in one of the major ones. I wish someone would post a good step by step tech article on doing this so you would know exactly what you needed and what you were gettin into. I'm taking pic's so maybe I'll be able to help a little

I have the tank from No-Limit everybody said I was crazy for paying that much but it fits perfect and I did not have to cut nothing also I think the Blazer tanks are ugly how they hang down.

I've got a No Limit tank, and there's a pic of it on my web site if anyone's interested. It's at the bottom of the page... I'm very happy with it... website link is in the signature.

Here's another option. It's a 16 gallon Summit fuel cell. I think it's 9" tall. You have to trim the crossmember right behind the axle (see pictures). Keep in mind that I raised my bed floor (and the tank) so with a stock bed, it would hang down about 2 more inches or so. But I still think it wouldn't hang down as far as the blazer tank. Also, you have to notch the bed support that is directly above the tank.

I probably would've spent the extra money for one that bolts right up and doesnt hang down as much if I would've know more when I bought it. Anyone have any pics of the stock blazer tank installed in a short bed

I agree I don't like the blazer tank. It hangs down way to far, it looks nasty IMO. I opted for the same fuel cell as slammed67.

Wow thanks for all the input guys. I was just about to go with a blazer tank. Think I'll save a while longer and go with the direct bolt in.
