Hood Question: Body Color or Black?
Finally, it is getting to the point were the bodyman is getting ready to paint and we are not sure on if we should paint the underneith of the hood body color or black. Has anybody painted the underneith body color? Does anybody have any pictures of trucks with the underneith of the hood painted body color? Last minute decision and we have to make up our minds in a couple of days before it gets painted. Thanks

We painted ours body color. (but didn't clearcoat it)

We have some with both............My brother C-10 we painted the body color. I have a original '69 GMC 1-ton and that is black under the hood, so on my '72 K-20, I went with black, mostly because it was easier to shoot it and the inner fender separate and then only have to worry about the color on one side

painted mine body color, but painted the firewall and inner fenders satin black..
