Re: Any members Vintage Air dealers...?
I personally found practically no price difference from vendor to vendor. I chose to buy direct from Vintage Air (same price as vendors). I thought it would help me avoid a middle man if problems ever arose.

I'm considering Old Air? down the road, basically the same type of unit
and I can get it from one of the Board Vendors here (Tim Christian)

Re: Any members Vintage Air dealers...?
There's also www.classicautoair.com out of Tampa. I haven't purchased from them yet but so far I think they're the one I'll be going with. I've spent alot of time talking to the different companies. All of the units are pretty much the same price, however it's my understanding that vintage air is pretty much a sealed unit that if/when it goes bad you have to replace the entire unit (- compressor, condenser, etc) where as classicautoair is serviceable. An executive left Vintage Air to start his own business and there you have www.hotrodair.com. Vintage air doesn't give the distributors much discount therefore you don't get much discount regardless what vendor you go with. EcklersClassics (large distributor) is literally right up the road from me yet everything I've called them on is either dropped shipped to my house or their warehouse (cx still pays for the drop to their warehouse) so there's no savings there. I'm not trying to sell you on any specific setup, just that the distributor of choice doesn't have to be local to you necessarily for the best savings.
