What can I fill this hole in the firewall with?
I am not using an e brake on my truck, but I never even gave it a thought about filling the hole for the cable, before I painted this thing......Is there anybody that makes a square/rectangle type rubber grommet or something I can put in the hole? Thanks

Try three thicknesses of rubber (truck inner tube??) One inside, one in center the size of the hole, one outside---glue together with yellow gorilla snot (3M weatherstrip glue) Trim for neatness.

Haven't got and idea what to use to fill the hole. But in missouri when you get an inspection they check yer e-brake for funtion. Unless "you know someone" who inspects.

you might try getting a new original style grommet for the hole, then filling the hole for the cable with # 2 permatex black and smoothing it for purtyness.

I will go with O'l Buck get a new original style grommet for the hole then in the gromment all you will have left is a smaller round hole I would try putting one of the black plugs that hold your fire wall insulation pad on in the smaller round hole.

I wouldn't run without one myself. I always make sure mine are in good working order too. They call it an emergency brake for a reason. If you lose your regular brakes, you can use the emergency brake to stop. (carefully)
I used this to get home one day after a big rock destroyed my brake lines. What about parking on a steep hill? It's not something most of us do daily but you never know when you'll have to. Very bad for the transmission or worse for the front end of you truck when it lets go and rolls down the hill!
