Ordered my drop kit...

after literally MONTHS of deliberating (and paying off my motorcycle ) i finally found the time, ca$h and balls to up and order a 2.5/4 western chassis drop kit from sporttruckdirect.com. i opted for the 2.5" drop spindles in front and 3-4" rear shackle/hanger kit, and figured "what the hell" so i also got the shock extenders for my not-too-necessary gain of 2" woth of suspension travel. 6" is better than 4", right? well, my paycheck for the month was just over 1k, and i got home and blasted away a little over $400 of it in about 10 minutes oh well, **** college, right? Anyways, i guess i'm just excited. found a friend who would let me borrow his floor jack, and my kit should get here around the end of next week. i'll post pictures of before and after too, no worries. now i've just gotta sell my wheels ( http://seattle.craigslist.org/sno/car/201596875.html ) and i'll be done! no wait, that just gets me ready for my mirrors, paint, 5 speed and interior.... SH*T!!

Re: Ordered my drop kit...

I just started work a few hours ago on my truck. I'm using Belltech spindles and shackles along with new shocks. I'm also going to be respraying the entire underside of the truck once I'm done.

One thing you'll want is some large jack stands, a breaker bar, and some penetrating lubericant.

This only depends on who or where you buy your parts from .

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.

Re: Ordered my drop kit...

Just a guess but I think the reason your ad was flagged is that you are advertising PARTS in the CARS AND TRUCKS forum?

Re: Ordered my drop kit...

i guess so. i got an email from craigslist that said "98% of flagged ads are breaking one or more craigslist rules. we have decided that your ad falls in that 2% and you are free to repost your ad any time". so i did.

Re: Ordered my drop kit...

Congrats, interested to see how it comes out. I'm debating on going ahead and ordering my drop spindles and shackles/hangers, or waiting until I've got a cab and I am starting bodywork.... I'm looking forward to pics

Re: Ordered my drop kit...

I thought long and hard about getting smoothies, but I fell in love with the American Racing Bajas.. I got the Eagle Wheels version instead b/c I like the Eagle centercaps better than the AR ones.

I love your truck man. Can't wait for dropped photos.
