Cut Cabs
Anyone have pics of a 69 C10 with the roof cut off the cab?
My cab is farily rusted and i'm considering it. Worst case i will just look for a new cab like i planned before. Thanx, D!m ------------------ BlueStreak 69 Chevy C10 - (Under Construction) pos_8@hotmail.com

If you plan a vertable, you will need to do some serious bracing on the rear of the cab! When I chopped my top,I had a brace welded across the door openings ,before I did any cutting.......69 longhorn

Any Pictures? At this point i'm just trying to figure out if it will be worth the effort.
If i see that they actually look good, i will definatly ask you and the other guys for pointers. I've also heard something about the windshield needing adjustments. Anyways, if someone could provide pictures, it will help with my decision. Thanx, D!m ------------------ BlueStreak 69 Chevy C10 - (Under Construction) pos_8@hotmail.com

I meant profesional in a way that your work seems to be at that level. Quite a few guys on here have this "profesional" status. At least in my mind.
I look at some of these trucks and only wish mine would look half as good as them. D!m

Its been a hobby for me ,goin on 30yrs now....so if it looks easy,I can say honestly that it hasnt always been. As far as a convert,I havent done 1,but do know that there will need to be a lot of brace work at the rear of the cab. You might check around, maybe not on are trucks, but I think there kits for that.....just to get an idea whats involved. that is done to a lot of mini trucks.......69

we cut a door post out of my cab cause a tree hit it. got one from a donor truck and fixed it the right way (NOT BONDO). but when we had the post out the cab did all sorts of weird things. if you cut the roof off totally your probably looking at some sort of ladder bar setup where the gas tank would go to support the back of the cab. otherwise the doors won't work right. the windshield would probably hang there allright but I wouldn't take it out on the big bumps. it may flex enough to crack the windshield. just my opinion.

I think I would study a blazers windshield structure real close.
