carb removal
I am installing a carb space. I am thinking remove all vaccum lines fuel line throttle rod remove carb. Clean then put on new gasket spacer gasket carb. What is the torque on the studd bolts? Should I use anything on the gaskets? anything else I should do when the carb is off?
Any other thoughts on the subject?

If you have never done this before, take a number of photos before you start. Gaskets go on dry.

Holley says 60-80 in/lbs and do it in a cross pattern, like rims. If your vacuum lines are getting hard and brittle then you may change them. PCV too...

You mean take a pic of the throttle linkage and vac lines for reference?

Tighten your carb down a little at a time. You don't want to crank one down to prescribed torque and then move on to the next one. ( good way to break an ear off of the carb?) My $.02.
