You probably woudn't want me to mess with anything you have since I have never messed with air ride. I do have a list of chores that need to be done to mine. Lets see here, remove body panels, shave door handles and marker lights, sand door jams, shave gas filler neck and install fuel door, find a 1/2 top, make custom bed cover, install 3.73's and eaton posi, install rear disk brakes, put headders on, run the satinless exhaust, install the edelbrock pro flo, block sand all body panels and paint. I hope I will be happy after I get all this done. So anyone want to come help poor old me out?

yes the 2600 would be better but if you want to upgrage from that go with a slam spec bag and if you dont want to go with the viair comp there is a company that is called air zenith that is what i am useing i will get a pic for you

my buddy at work is BIG in the mini scene and he tells me the viair460 is a better compressor and they dont make the 450 anymore so if you ever need parts for it they may be scarce

Just so you know the ViAir compressors are very good, but very LOUD. Plan on mounting it as far back as possible.

are you just going to have front and back control or sides also
you might want to think about a higher psi presure switch cause 145 might have a lil trouble lifting the front and you are probley going to want some check valves so you dont get air blead back from tank to comp or from bags back to tank
do you have the brackets for the back bag mounts and for the lower on the front

I say York it. You still have to find a compressor & the clutch . Maybe more expensive, but you'll never regret spending the extra cash. Nor will you hear it running.

he has a very good point belt drivencompressors make no sound and have a very high output you just have to find a way to mount it witch means if no company makes a bracket you have to fab one and the cost is more
i have one on my silverado and have loved it 4 the last 4 years
i only went with elect on my blazer cauase its not going to be my daily driver only a summer cruiser

I don' t have the plates yet or any of the other. I read that you can get by without the lower cups. On the back I was thinking about notcing my arms so the bag would mount lower. I figured I would need check valves and I don't see much room to mount a belt driven compressor since I am running a big block with factory air. I have been looking at the slam bags and I think they would be fine also. I appreciate all the help and keep it coming. I am a novice at best on air ride.

Are the accessories v-belt or serp? The link I had for Kilby's site is for a sb I know, but just look at the picture. At the least it would be a good starting point to modify or build you're own bracket. You should give Brad a call, he's a reasonable guy & very customer oriented. He may be working on something, or already have something that could work with some work.

well you dont have to use the cups on the bottom you just have to have a way to bolt on the bottom of the bag i have seen some where they have used plates on mine i cut out and droped bottom of a arm so i would be able to get front lower i will get you some detailed pics of how mine is set up and you can work from that there are many diff ways to do this alot of peopl put the bag in the same spot as the rear spring you just need plate to bolt the bag too and i would think that by nothing the trailing arm you would lose some streanth in it

I figured if I notched it I would put a piece of flat on the bottom and weld it and weld in plates as wide as the trailing arm were I cut it so it will look good and give it a little support. I stole this idea from the rear arms on bagged 74's blazer. I for sure want to see how your setup is.

Could you provide me with some detail on your rear setup. I have a leaf rear-end on my 70 SWB and will be baggin' it this winter. Are those the F9000 bags? If so, do they have a 1/4" air inlet?

The reason I ask is that I don't want to overbuild my system. I want to have basic control (front / back) and am not too concerned about speed. I notice that a lot of folks are running 1/2" valves and lines. If the inlet size is only 1/4" then why do I need a 1/2" valve (get my drift). The fill speed is only going to be as fast as the smallest component.

Any details you could provide would be greatly appreciated.

there are alot of factors in building a set up and keeping the leafs on that type of set up you can only get as low as you can lower it and then you use the bags to go up from there i will get you sone picks of leaf set ups most of the ones we do are link set up but i can give you a few ideas

and the bags are slam spec rs72 they have 1/2 ports i know that speed might not be a factor but just keep in mong if you go all 1/4 it is a lot of work to make it go faster if its too slow of you dont have enuff pressre for the amount of weight you need to lift and if you start with 1/2 and its too fast you just have to reduce it down to slow it down and they make adjusters that go in line to do that
