Something to P*ss us all off!

So a couple months ago my dad wanted to take me truck to the ol' blockbuster to return a movie, nothing outta the norm...but when he gets back he notices something, very outta the norm, and very annoying to say the least, on the drivers rear fender a nice big chunk missing...sweet, its ends up that when he went in there was no one parked beside him and when he came out, the same thing...but this was the first time the truck had been driven in months, and that chunk was not there when he left, so some jerk must have smoked it with somthing, looks like a bike handle, or mirror, who knows, whatever it was, it makes me angry and now i have to like paint the whole fender again...ahhh

I had something similar happen to me in two different instances. It wasn't with my truck but with my wife's new Jetta.

I saw this mom once open her back door on her subaru to put her kid in the car, and "BANG", just bounced the door off the side of our car leaving a nice dent. She didn't even show any reaction to what she did. She was just going to get in her car and drive off until I came over and said something. The result was she knew she had banged the door against the side of our car and she does it all the time, but in her mind stuff like that always happens and is unavoidable (her car was looking pretty bad for a new subaru -- got plenty of abuse) so why bother telling anyone...

Another time I was sitting at a light in Fremont in the Jetta (if you've ever spent time in Seattle you'd know that Fremont is an area where there's a lot of bicycles and hippies). This guy comes flying up the center line on a 10-speed passing all the cars, and his handle takes out my driver's side mirror. I roll my window down to talk to him, and he says "sorry, dude", and rides off. I couldn't catch him, so I had to shell out the $200 to fix his mistake.

I don't think most people even think about how much time, energy and $ it takes to keep a car or truck looking nice. If they do then they don't want to be caught wrecking someone elses stuff, so they take off. Very disrespectful. I feel your pain.

I lose all control when someone does that to my vehicle. Like the time I put a matching dent in the car that did it to me or the time i came out from grocery store so pissed i unloaded a whole ketchup bottle in the car next to me....lol I could go on. I park about 3 miles out now.

Ever noticed that when you park at the far end of the parking lot to protect your pride and joy, when you come back out, someone has parked a POS ricer right up close?

Red face

Ok, I'm not too happy about my temper but.....

Last Chrismas I was shopping at the local best buy, and some jack hole parked about 8" from the drivers side of my suburban. I got sooo damned pissed, I unlocked my door and swung it as had as I could into this a**holes passenger side mirror!! Needless to say, I smashed it into little peices, and the burb was unmarked!!!

People that do that suck. I saw some dumb broad in a parking lot hit a new pathfinder with her old accord trying to pull into a parking spot. Then hit it again five seconds later when she tried to pull back out. I went back inside paged the pathfinder's owner, and turned the broad in. My wife was able to get her plate before she fled. I had had to talk to the police a few times for witness stuff, but I think it should be a federal offense to dent a car nicer than yours.

I get lots of exersise parking on the back fourty of every parking lot, but some people will go out of thier way to damage your vehicle when they see you park like that.

I wonder if its jelousy or what.

Sorry about the dent.

I know how everyone feels. Some twit took 8 swings to put the door dent into the side of my VW Corrado. But honestly, what kind of idiot wouldn't realize after say the 5th try that he was acutally denting my door. Somehow I think it was on purpose. How do I know he did it 8 times. There are 8 different chips within a 1/8" on the door.

Ahhhh, the joys of "Power Parking".

Only thing is, as long as they do it at the far end of the lot, I don't mind. It really yanks my chain when some punk driving his first "new" car uses the technique because he is too fat and lazy to walk AND he wants to be able to see his ride out of the establishment window.

I feel your pain (old ex-Presidential Arkansas saying). I had just had my '67 Impala Convertible redone (inside and out), gotten married and had some neighbor kid on a bicycle go down the passenger side with a handlebar w/o hand grip. Talk about mad. I couldn't afford to do anything except live with it. Sold it three years later, still scratched.

It aggravates me that people don't have the same Pride of Ownership that we have. We are motivated by different strokes. For some people, vehicles (cars and trucks) are nothing more than transportation. What's up with that? Don't they know?????
