What size tires are you running on 10" rims

I'm putting a pair of 15x10 rallies on the back of my truck and would like to know what guys are running for tires.

Re: What size tires are you running on 10" rims

I like the looks of a 275/60-15 on a 10" wide wheel. A 295/50-15 also looks good if you want a shorter and wider tire.

I had the 275/60's on my old rig when I had 10 inch wide rims... in front, (same width) I have 265/60's if I remember right.

Radials....

Short = 275/60-15 (< = 28")
Tall = 285/70=15 (> = 30")

Stickies....

Short = 28x10.5x15
Tall = 30~31x10.5x15

Re: What size tires are you running on 10" rims

Kumho 285/70-17s on mine. I was hesitant to go with an imported brand of tire on a classic truck, but the tread design is what I was looking for (somewhat agressive looking street tread). I guessI just try to pretend they're not Japanese, Korean or whatever they are.

I have indy 500's also and I liked them for the few miles I got to put on them, the truck has since been "In pieces" mode since I bought the tires.

How wide are your rims? What backspacing are they? How much drop do you have on that truck? That stance looks perfect with those tires!

Re: What size tires are you running on 10" rims

I beleive the drop is 4/6 using early classic's spindles & lowering blocks ect. The wheels were on the truck when I bought it, I know the PO so I can ask him about the backspacing, I do know they are ameriacan Eagle no. 218's I would guess the fronts are 8" & the backs are 10" but they look huge back there, maybe their bigger then 10"

I had both a set of 275/60/15s and 295/50/15s. Both looked good.

Now I'm running 275/50/17s

Re: What size tires are you running on 10" rims

I like the early 60's street rod look so I put 235/70 on 10's, it makes the sidewalls bow out. Some tire shops will say this can't be done, you have to find a dealer who has a bead blaster to inflate the tires for the first time.
