Ever seen a ashtray delete?
Got this out of a 71 parts truck a few years ago. Is this something made up or did GM do this?

Re: Ever seen a ashtray delete?
It's OEM, and they're pretty hard to find. I wanted to get one of these and a radio delete for my truck a while back, but opted not to :\
Change of heart, change of mind...

Re: Ever seen a ashtray delete?
interesting, never heard ot that one. That would be cool to have a truck with heater, ashtray and radio delete plates.
Well, it'd be cool that you'd be the only one in town like that anyways. |

Re: Ever seen a ashtray delete?
Funny,we used to search for rare options. Now,we search for rare non-options.I never smoked...cigarettes,but ashtrays make nice coin, screw, and paper clip holders.Mini-vans come in non-smoker form.Where do the kids stuff their gum and wrappers?

Re: Ever seen a ashtray delete?
The funny thing is that it looks like an ashtray. So when it's in the dash you can't tell the difference. Weird. I'm doing the opposite to my truck, I'm adding as much crap to make it a nice DD as I can.

Re: Ever seen a ashtray delete?
Hey 57sailplane, is that a glove box door you've put over the gauge/dash panel? Looks interesting.

Re: Ever seen a ashtray delete?
the ashtray "delete" just looks as if someone removed the ashtray from the faceplate for some reason

Re: Ever seen a ashtray delete?
Hey,I`m going to use the glovebox door to make a guage-delete plate.I want to delete everything.I figure I can delete the steering wheel by mounting hydraulic levers down at the front of the seat so you can`t tell I`m driving.
