71 gas tank in 67 cab.
I had a guy tell me that the 71 tanks are taller than a 67 tank and would'nt fit in a 67 cab is there any trueth in this? I for one thought they are
the same other than the vent lines!

I am calling on this one.
In cab tanks are interchange-able for 67-72, differences you will encounter are number of hose outlets, filler pipe may be different, and gas cap may be different, but they bolt in the same, and the filler sticks out of the cab the same. |

We put a 72 tank in a 68. Fit no problem.

I thought they would fit the same also, but I had aguy wanting one of my 71 tanks the other day and he said his
mechanic told him that the 71 tank was taller than the 67 tank and they would'nt fit,I told him his mechanic didnt know what he was talking about!!!! Thanks for reusurance on the topic............

there are differences in the fuel pick up and senders but not in the tank itself
