Blazer Owners: I Need More than Just a Lap Belt
Anyone with a Blazer have a belt system that includes more than a lap belt? It doesn't appear that there is anyway to rig a 3-point system. I was wondering if any of you have done a racing style harness in yours.
I drive mine daily and occassionally I have my young son with me. When the top is off I really get concerned. I guess I could get a low profile headache bar installed behind the seats and have a mounting point welded to it on either side. This would solve two problems. Any ideas? One of 292 coupes with M6 and in-dash CD.

theres a companys called "CROW" that make full harness 4-point belts, there a good company check them out.

The thing to remember, anything not installed (or available) orii=ginally, is not leagal for street use. Most cops don't care, but some do. Inspection stations do care.

Most people attach them to the roll bar. Someday, when and if I get around to it, that's the way I'm going to do it. If you don't have a roll bar, I would suggest installing one. The fiberglass tops don't provide a lot of protection in a roll over and if your running topless... well, you get the idea.

Check out my Blazer at http://community.webshots.com/user/wdsteeves.I put in a 3 point seat belt from Mothertruckers.I mounted the loop to the upright of a modified P/U roll bar ,the recoil mounted to the stock hole and for the short portion of the seat belt I used a couple of 2x2 pieces of aluminium.They mounted to the existing holes as well.It turned out A-1.Any questions,glad to answer them.
