A few pics from a new guy.

New to the board here so I figured I would let everyone know a little about me. I bought a '70 C10 lwb stepside in August, 2001. Been working on it on and off ever since. I am almost finished with it now, just needs a front bumper, back bumper needs painting, wood bed needs to be installed (which will be oak), the hood needs to be repainted due to a compressor problem, new side marker lenses to be installed and taillights and reverse lights still need to be hooked up. I finished to seat upholstery today and got the bench seat back in and it looks great. The truck was originally orange with white cab top. I removed the cab trim that seperated the two tone and painted it all white. I hope to be on the road in a few weeks.

Fine looking ride you got there! Welcome for Brookhaven! Nothing beats a white stepper! You ever want to replace the driver's side cut out fender for a full fender, let me know. I know where one is that might be available.

Re: A few pics from a new guy.

Dean, thanks, but I am going to keep the spare tire carrier on the side. I am an 'old school' guy and I like the look of the spare on the outside of the bed.

Thanks gang. It makes you feel good when other folks give you pat on the back and like what you are doing.

bigbassmann,
As a recovering bass tournament fisherman I have to ask about your screen name. Do you fish competitively?

Re: A few pics from a new guy.

No, just fish for fun. The screen name actually came about several years ago as a joke. I would always rag one of my buddies about me catching bigger bass than he did, so when I got interested in the internet, I came up with the screen name just to razz him and it has stuck with me ever since.
