73 spindles on 72
hey guys i was wondering i have a set of spindles that were made for a 73 but if i use them on my 72 someone told me that all i have to change are the outer ty rod ends,true or false.and also why do some people say its dangerous to run 3 inch drop springs in the front,thanks for the help

Yes you need a differnet outter tie rod end and a different adjusting sleeve. You also need to change 1 of the ball joints out, sorry forget which one upper or lower.

On a 1/2 ton truck, swap the upper ball joints & the outer tierod ends ...you should be good to go. I dont remember any issues with the sleeves, but on the 67-70, the sleeves are different IIRC....

upper. inch lowered springs change all of the angles, and the amount of travel. Lots of guys run them with lowered spindles to give you 5-6 inch of drop

I have 3 inch drop springs on mine, and it does fine driving up the road, but at slow speed it does not like very large bumps.
