Just wanted to say Hi
Hi everyone, I have been a long time reader of these forums and I have found them to be very helpful, After a long hunt I finally found my truck, It's a 1972 Cheyenne Super shortbox, it was a factory 402 truck but now has a GM crate 454HO, Turbo350, and a F**D 9" with 4.11 posi.
I have to replace all the factory emblems and mouldings that were shaved off, and I already have complete new factory houndstooth interior ready to go in it, now i just need a place to work on it! anybody in central iowa have extra room? keep up the great posts!

Re: Just wanted to say Hi
really nice truck man. I'm in des moines and picked up a nice 69 lwb a couple weeks ago. I'd offer up some working space, but i have none of my own as well. My truck is sitting over 2 hours away (cedar falls) in a 40x60 machine shed.

Re: Just wanted to say Hi
Thanks for all nice comments, you guys are making me feel right at home!
the truck was a frame off resto, and its completely rust free, I am trying to make the truck look as stock as possible, I still need to find all the parts to put the A/C back together, Solver- I am located in des moines too, I live in urbandale, but my truck is stored on the south side. Aaron- here are the best pics i have of rear end right now. Chevy Fatman- here are pics of the engine you requested.

Where does your exhaust exit on that? I don't see any tailpipes. Must be alittle loud

Re: Just wanted to say Hi
Welcome to the board from West Tennessee. That is a real nice truck as is. You have every right to change it to whatever makes you happy. I would detail it to the max and drive it just the way it is.

Re: Just wanted to say Hi
Welcome, nice truck, looks like whoever did the frame off needs some practice bending brake line!

Re: Just wanted to say Hi
the exhaust dumps just in front of the rear end, it is a little loud, but i am getting tails done for it to come out the back under the bumper, that might tone it down a little,
I agree about the brake line, just goes to prove that beer and brake lines dont mix! lol

Re: Just wanted to say Hi
That's a sharp little truck ya got there! You don't see leaf springs on a Chevy that often, most guys claim you couldn't get them. The original buyer had to select leafs when the truck was ordered. Good luck on your project and welcome to the board!
