i hate exhaust leaks
so my collectors started leaking again last night!
they dont have gaskets because they are the ball/cup type collecters that fit together. i unbolted the exhaust and went one step further and took off my headers just to clean up the gaskets(dead soft alum.) mounted the exhaust back up nice and tight with double lock nuts and its all good |

Re: i hate exhaust leaks
I feel your pain. I recently posted with similar problems.
My passenger side header angles down just enough to cause the flanges tween the header and collector to part at the bottom, due to the Hooker exhaust pipe not having the room to drop to a linear angle itself - the T/C and crossmember are in the way. I'm gonna try one of these on the leaky side. Summit flex joint pipe. I'd heard that the Ball & Cups were the way to go. Hmmm. - Dave
