'69 C30 questions
I acquired a '69 C30 dually flatbed earlier this year, before I had a computer, and was wondering how to get any information about my truck since the sticker on the glove box door is unreadable. These trucks, 67-72, are definitely the best looking trucks chevy/ GM ever produced! I'm glad I am finally an owner.

Re: '69 C30 questions
What kind of info are you looking for? Basicly, the info on the missing spid label is gone forever, no records were kept on individual trucks... onless you have a canadian purchaced one.

Re: '69 C30 questions
just wondering what the truck came with originally from the factory. If it was originally a V8, and a dually and what kind of bed it had since the one on it was custom made.

Re: '69 C30 questions
off the assembly line, it had a flat bed, or nothing at all.
Any other type of bed woulda been aftermarket. There weren't any made with a pick up bed on with dual rear wheels. |

Re: '69 C30 questions
175, or 157?
133 and 157 are the only 2 lengths that I am aware of off the assembly line. |

Re: '69 C30 questions
If wheelbase is measured from center of rear wheel to center of front wheel, then it was 175. This is why I want to try and find info on this truck to figure out what is factory and what is aftermarket. Thanks for your help Longhorn.

Re: '69 C30 questions
The motorhome companies used to stretch the frames to 175". I have an Open Road brand '68 motorhome and it has a 175" wheelbase. Your truck was probably a motorhome at some point and somebody removed the motorhome off of it and custom built a flat bed.

Re: '69 C30 questions
I have seen some motorhomes from that era and their wheelbase does look like mine but all the ones I've seen converted had noticeable cab work where they welded up the walk-through. I think mine was a box truck or moving van. Just wish there was another way to figure it out. My truck still has 18 inch wheels and tires that look factory.

Re: '69 C30 questions
not all motorhomes were walk thru, it depends on the manufacturer. there's a 68 here in town that wasn't a walk thru version and i've known the truck for many years. the camper portion has recently been removed and it's currently being used by an R.V. company to move 5th wheel trailers that they are repairing. still has bucket seats too---that the owner will not part with
