Sloppy 73 - steering issues
My 73 Blazer - all links and joints have no slop. Steering box is tourqued tight with no frame cracks. I read recently that the adjusting nut on top of the gear box can be adjusted - so I looked it up in my 73 Light Duty Service Manual and the mention adjustment on the manual box, but, nothing for the Power Steering box.
Anyone know how to take the sloppy lash out of the PS Gear box?? Thanks in advance! - Dave

Re: Sloppy 73 - steering issues
I have a power steering box in my '89 suburban w/ an adjusting nut... right on top... i think you use a wrench and an allen wrench... nut counter clockwise to loosen and then the allen clockwise to tighten.
that seemed to help a little, but i think i'm going to replace mine... |
