Question late model power steering pump removal

hi guys,
i have '72 chevy p/u with a 92 suburban serp. belt setup on it. i have a flex-a-lite twin fan setup as well. my question is basically this: how do i remove the pump?? i am hoping that there is someone else on this forum that has switched to a late model serp. setup that has had to do this already & can give me some very appreciated insight!! i am really at MY WITTS END!!. i don't think that there is enough room to remove the pulley 1st. maybe someone can give "step by step" instructions for the order to do things anyways. i am able to get to all the bolts except for the one behind the pulley on the pass. side.

if anyone here could (would) help me i would be very greatful!!!

thanks for the time to help!

Re: late model power steering pump removal

I think the only way to access the bolts is to remove the pulley

Re: late model power steering pump removal

That should be enough if you use the collar style puller. It will be close though

MY 90 Burb is the same way, have to remove the pulley first, I have to jack the fan shroud a little bit to get the puller lined up straight
