new truck
just got a 72 gmc 1/2 ton sierra 2wd, very little rust with a 350 and auto and working air for 350.00. it even has the factory radio. with the money i saved i got me a 67 chevy front clip to convert it. i have always wanted a 67-68, but now i need to convert it to a shortbed as well.

Re: new truck
heres some the 2nd day i had it. i took the shell off, took off the big ugly non stock rear bumper, and got the complete front clip undone, in the morning i will lift off the 72 gmc clip and replace it with a 67 chevy clip. and hopefully start shortening the frame for a shortbed. and mabey i can find a good shordbed to put on it.
pictures turned out crappy, was dark outside. |

Re: new truck
the clip is on, might get the frame shortened in the morning. cant wait to lower and paint this thing, it might just be enough to tie me over till the crewcab 72 is done.

Re: new truck
Where did you cut the frame? Everyone I have seen they were cut under the cab. looks like you cut between the crossmember and the rear. did you have to move any cab mounts?

Re: new truck
I see, It is a leaf spring truck so you were able to cut where you did. You couldn't cut there with a coil spring truck.
