Hey Guys,
I would like to put some new bumpers on my 67. Right now I have a rollpan on the rear. I was looking at the frame and noticed someone welded some plates where I think the brackets for the rear bumper mount. There is a plate on the outside only on the driver side and the passenger side of the frame. There are holes cut in the plate so the bolts will still go through but I am wondering if the extra thickness will cause a problem? So my basic question is do the bumper brackets mount on the inside or outside of the frame? Anyone have any pics? Thanks......Lumpy

my rear bumper had the brackets on the out side of the frame, some one welded them on, a little torching and grinding got them off.

One mounts on the inside and the other on outside on both passenger & drivers side. It will cause problems if not removed.
