Re: Rear Disc brakes by Blackbirds Custom Trucks

so with your 5lug kit for 71up 1/2tons are the rotors off the shelf or are they custom made just for your kits?

Re: Rear Disc brakes by Blackbirds Custom Trucks End of October Special.....

Those are secrets of the trade....

But you will know what they are after buying from us.. I can tell you all calipers and brake pads and rotors are off the shelf items at you local auto parts store..
Our kits are designed with certain rotors, because over the past 7-8 years we have come to find out there are differences between the companies that make rotors..
I promise as will several folks from this board could tell you, we take pride in commitment to the customer and our products..

Re: Rear Disc brakes by Blackbirds Custom Trucks End of October Special.....

well i suppose i can live with that, but the parts are infact heavy duty enough to handle a big old chevy truck? and when replacing parts, does a guy need to have a list of vehicles that the stuff came from just to know what all to reorder? or is it a little more simple like just having a list of part#'s.. im not trying to shoot anyone down here, cause this DOES seem to be the best and most complete deal ive found.. and i realize theres a satisfaction warrantee of a year, i just wanna try to find out as much as i can before i order. thanks for all your help.. !

Re: Rear Disc brakes by Blackbirds Custom Trucks End of October Special.....

We have kits on on all style trucks.. We began with chevy and grew.

I had a set on a mud racing blazer on the 14 bolt.(sold the truck)
I have it on my Dana 60 in the '72

We have them installed on duallies that haul big loads over the passes from seattle through montana..

We wouldn't sell a kit if it didn't work or customers were not satisfied. We even have a review of our F*rd dana 60 over on the pirate4x4 board.

Some kits would require knowing certain years for rotors, but you can get that from us incase you have forgotten.. We keep all past customers purchases on file for that reason. So people just don't email or call willynilly asking what rotor do we use..

The are bolt on applications.. No tube spacers to cut down, no bent brackets to readjust into place after installed, no multiple bracketry to deal with..

If and when you any one buys from us for this special, be sure to add what Message board you are from in the Additional instructions block..

Yup, you got it other than it is free shipping to the lower 48 states for that price..
So $350.00 = kit + non e-brake calipers to your door.. As for pads, not sure what type..Basically whatever comes with the loaded caliper.. I could get you a better answer today if you like..

And yes anyone with just about your average tool set can do this swap...
