headlights
I don't have any low beams my highbeams work.Does the dimmer switch the power to the brown and green wire?I can touch the grn wire to the blue wire and the lights come on but when I touch it to the brn wire I get nothing.I have a new dimmer switch on it.Any ideas?

Re: headlights
Put power to brown wire and check at headlight for power. If you have power both lights are blown on dim.

Re: headlights
Theres no power at all on the brn wire.I tried anothe headlight but no luck.I just got this truck from my son. He said the plug on the dimmer switch had shorted out so he put another one on but he had no low beams.

Re: headlights
Power comes from the head light switch on the blue wire, it goes to the dimmer switch which devide either to the green(high) or brown(low).
If you have touched the blue to the brown and got nothing, then you have a broke wire or two burnt out bulbs.Get you a meter or a check light and trace the brown wire from the dimmer. |
