Project truck!
Here is my project truck. I purchased it last week. The truck had a poor make over by the PO several years ago. I am replacing the "previously" long wheel base frame with an original short wheel base frame. I am considering a 5.3/4L60E engine swap and a 3/5 or 4/6 drop. I do not want the truck to low but I do want a nice lowered stance.
I hope the picture will show up! |

Re: Project truck!
Shane- You can have the wires! They would not even make good air hose hangers!

Re: Project truck!
QKENUF4U- The besides are straight but the PO welded up the tailight areas and put on a roll pan with the lights in it.
Here is an interior shot. |

Looks to be in decent shape, should be sharp when you're done.

Re: Project truck!
Looks like a great base for a project. Congrats On finding yourself a nice original shorty frame to start fresh with!

Re: Project truck!
1967j- I am not sure on the color. I would suggest going to a local automotive paint supplier and look at their paint chips. If you see a color on a vehicle on the road that will help. If you really like the color I can send you a cut out piece of metal that a local supplier can match. PM me with an address if you want the cut out piece.
I will try to post progress pictures as I go. |

Re: Project truck!
If you want a BEAUTIFUL red- look at early GM's autumn maple metallic--I had it on a 54 Willys jeep pickup, AWESOME color!!!
