Re: pics of air ride up and down

It depends on the bags you use. When my truck is all done, I will have about 5 inches of adjustment (maybe more). I am using 7" front and 6" rear Slam Specialties.

I'm also about 3" higher than some when I'm dumped because of the bags I used and didn't trim my front cups.

Re: pics of air ride up and down

This is not me being condescending, it's me trying to get you answers fast:

If you go up to the main part of this 67-72 year forum, then look in the upper right-hand side, you'll see a search button. click on that, then type either 'bags', 'airbags', 'bagged' or 'aired' and search on that term. Then click on any thread you see in the results that has a paperclip symbol next to it. This will show you any threads where people are talking about bags, bagged trucks, or trucks aired out.

You might hafta dig a bit, but you will find what you're looking for.

The search will not work for 3-letter terms, just so you are aware. Stick to 4-letter words or more.

it really depends on your set up and products. It can vary quite a bit.

Member 'OLDROCK&ROLLER' has pics of his floating around here, I just don't want to spend the time searching for it. Several people have posted pics - I would also check the suspension forum, not just this 67-72 forum.

Re: pics of air ride up and down

I also agree that it varies alot. Different bags have different ride heights and different lift heights. Also it depends on how you mount them. I am in the process of mounting my rear air bags in a canti-lever setup. I plan on getting 9-10" of lift for the rear. Anyways good luck!!

Re: pics of air ride up and down

This is Slammed67's truck. He is using Firestone bags in the stock locations with a c-notch and dropped spindles.

*EDIT* - I "believe" that the up pics are ride height, so if needed could possibly go a little higher.

Re: pics of air ride up and down

Heres mine. I did a c notch in the frame and have 2" drop spindles. My kit is from air ride tech. I built snubbers so I could drive it if I lost a bag. So it could go a little lower but I did not do anything to the bed and I still have the inner fenders. The up picture is not the best. I have 20's on this truck and at it's lowest point I can still drive and turn it.
