I am not aware of any dropped spindles availible for drum brakes. The disc brake swap isnt that expensive if you use salvage yard parts off a '71 or'72.

Let me know if i can help out on this...i know where a 1972 truck is with all this stuff on it, but it may be kinda pricey to ship from Alabama to California......

I did disc brakes with drop spindles on my 67 and used new stuff from parts store, the spindles were the most expensive part of it. I used 72 ball joints, rotors(came with bearings installed)calipers, brake pads from parts store and used caliper bolts I had along with bearing dust cover, tie rod, prop valve which I also had and you could get from the bone yard if they were willing to let you go out and pull the little stuff like this. Probably wouldn't charge much. Alot of this stuff is interchangeable from later year trucks also. I did mine for less than $400 spindles included. Oh yeah, That was with 4 in. drop springs in the rear with the spindle deal.
