Relocated Fuel tank Question - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

I have read the thread in the FAQ on the fuel tanks but I am still not sure which one to get.

I am looking at the CPP aluminum tank, sending unit, and pump.

or

The ECE stainless tank w/the sending unit. Does this come with a pump? I did not see the pump listed with it or seperate?

Any input on which one would be appreciated.
Fit, vent issues, too low, ect.....

try FuelCellGuy. I seen first hand the quality he builds and I'm impressed.

unless your running a fuel injected engine theres really not a need for an in tank pump. i agree fuel cell guy makes some awesome tanks that fit perfectly per the posts from guys who have purchased tanks from him. i cant comment on the other aftermarket tanks because i dont have any experience with them.

I have not seen that Fuelcellguy has been around for a while. The link to his website in the FAQ section was a dead end? I did not try to PM him. I need to get the tank asap for mock up before the frame goes out to get powdercoated. Thanks for the input.

I guess I will go with the ECE tank. I hope that is the right decision!!!!!

Just a thought - if you are in a state that sells E85 you might want to consider a Stainless Steel tank and lines. That way if you want to run it or later upgrade to it you don't have to replace anything.
