Woohoo!!!!
I'm now in blue!! Every day, I learn something new on here, so it was a no-brainer to give $25 for all of that learnin'! The site and everybody on it has also eased my mind from from that "Oh my Lord, what have I gotten into?!!?" frame of mind into "Damn! this is fun!". Thanks to all.

Congrats, it's fun to find other people who are in just as far over their heads as you.

Re: Woohoo!!!!
Yeah, when my Uncle told me that I could have my grandfather's truck, I was stoked. Then, after my brother and I drove down to Florida from Virginia and saw it, he laughed at me and I was speechless to it's condition. This site has helped loads for my self esteem!! This, even after my Father told me I should push it into the ocean.

Re: Woohoo!!!!
Welcome to the board from West Tennessee. Congrats on getting your grandfathers truck for a project. If it is a little more work to restore that will just add to the satisfaction when you get it done. Good Luck and keep us posted.

Re: Woohoo!!!!
Yeah, it is nice to have his truck, but honestly, the damage was so severe I have had to scrap the majority of it. I had never seen metal paper thin before, until seeing that truck. Thus, I am down to the frame and am using donors to complete. There will be parts of his truck included, but it is really no longer my grandfather's as I remember it. But, he will still be remembered with what I could salvage, so that matters most to me.

Re: Woohoo!!!!
This place is great to get motivated on your truck, if I'm getting my butt kicked in the garage I can always get a full head of steam again getting on here.
